5 Mysterious Things You Didn't Know About Nikola Tesla

25 Nov 2016

Nikola Tesla was one of the greatest and most influential scientists in the history of mankind. He was known for his contribution to countless revolutionary inventions that solved the greatest puzzles of his generation.

Tesla was responsible for the creation of the alternating current along with lights, lasers, the radio, and remote control; these prove that Tesla was truly a gifted inventor, and although he was born in a dark place in Croatia, Tesla's light continues to shine, making him unique and more precious than any other.

Tesla believed that his inventions would someday give light to those who were in darkness. Aside, from being a man full of dreams, Tesla has always been silent and mysterious. People believed that Tesla was far more than an inspired and intelligent inventor. They believed that the man behind the progress of mankind's triumphant and evolving technology was more enigmatic than we think. So here we unveil five mysteries behind the intriguing life of Nikola Tesla.

5 Tesla's Obsession

Tesla's Obsession

There is one bizarre fact about Nikola Tesla that will boggle your mind, this was his obsession with the number three. Many of his closest friends, assistants, co-workers and even complete strangers would testify that Tesla was addicted even obsessed with the number three.

Tesla was so hooked to this number that whatever he was doing, he would repeat it three times. Psychologists said that Tesla might just have been suffering from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, a psychological disorder wherein the victim obsessively repeats a particular routine in his/her life.

In addition to this, Tesla was an Orthodox Christian, a branch of Christianity that believes in the Holy Trinity; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Tesla once quoted, "If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 and 9, then you would have a key to the universe". Could this obsession serve as a profound and sacred ritual? Or was he just simply suffering from some obsessive Disorder?

4 The Death Beam Project

The Death Beam Project

Nikola Tesla never failed to amaze people with his inventions; one of these being the 'Death Beam'. The Death Beam was designed to fire high-frequency waves, which would be useful at the time of the ongoing World War II. After announcing this head-turning invention, Tesla caught the attention of the FBI and the Soviet Union, who were tasked with hiring the greatest inventors for their war efforts.

The Soviet Union chose between Einstein's Atomic Bomb and Tesla's Death beam, to fund and use in World War II. Unfortunately, Tesla's Death Beam wasn't chosen and not long after Tesla died, leaving the Death Beam project unfinished. Meaning the world missed out on one of the greatest inventions known to mankind.

3 Nikola Tesla's Death

Nikola Tesla's Death

Nikola Tesla died January 7, 1943, at the age of 86, his cause of death was recorded as Coronary Thrombosis. He was found several days after his death by his nephew in his small apartment in New York City.

However, Nikola Tesla's death was shrouded in mystery and speculation was rife. It was rumoured that Tesla had not died from Coronary Thrombosis but was murdered by one of Hitler's agents. Three days before Tesla's death, he was believed to have been seen having a meeting with two of Adolf Hitler's personal bodyguards including Otto Skorzeny, who is said to be Tesla's alleged murderer. Otto Skorzeny was also one of Hitler's spies who infiltrated the U.S Government's Paperclip Project; a confidential military project for World War 2.

Although Tesla's autopsy file states Tesla died from Coronary Thrombosis, many of the original papers went missing after his death, before the U.S Government could get their hands on them. Tesla's inventions would have been a significant threat to the Nazis, and this supports the theory he may have been murdered. What do you think? Did Tesla die from Coronary Thrombosis or was there a more sinister explanation?

2 Missing Papers

Missing Papers

As mentioned previously, following the death of Nikola Tesla was the disappearance of some of his papers; including blueprints of his inventions, books, and some other important notes. According to Tesla's nephew, Sava Kosanovic, someone had already stolen an unknown amount of Tesla's papers before authorities arrived.

No one exactly knew where Nikola Tesla's unaccounted papers were, but, there was great concern that the rest of Tesla's papers would fall into the wrong hands as it was known to the FBI that German intelligence had already taken a sizable amount of Tesla's research several years before his death.

Sava Kosanovic stated that after discovering his uncle's body, the remaining papers inside his room were kept by an unknown investigator. But, neither the Soviet Union or the U.S. Government claimed that Tesla's papers were in their custody. Rumour is that after the FBI had confiscated Tesla's papers, they were later moved to a secret government organisation to remain out of enemy hands.

1 Tesla's Extraterrestrial Connection

Tesla's Extraterrestrial Connection

Because of his 'out-of-this-world' capabilities of inventing things that were thought impossible for his generation, many people doubted Tesla's gift of intelligence. One of the conspiracies believed to be true was that Tesla was mentored by an 'Alien Life.'

It is speculated that the reason he was able to discover ground-breaking inventions was because he was being taught by someone who had a far superior intelligence than us. One night, back in 1899, while Tesla was burning the midnight oil, working on another of his inventions in his laboratory in Colorado Springs; he received a series of pulsating signals of random numbers that interfered with the waves being emitted by one of his radio-towers.

It didn't just end there; Tesla continued to receive what he believed to be 'extraterrestrial' signals from the red planet. Tesla believed that an alien life was contacting him. After several months, Tesla decided to engage himself in a new project; creating something that would be able to blast strong high-frequency waves across the interstellar space. Tesla even announced the progress of this new invention on his birthday in 1937.

It raised the question, what if Nikola Tesla wasn't just being watched by intelligent life but was somehow connected to it? Tesla himself claimed that he had contact with ET's and that his brain had become a receiver. Tesla once quoted, "My brain is only a receiver; in the Universe, there is a core from which "We" obtain knowledge, strength, and inspiration. I have not penetrated into the secrets of this core, but I know it exists". Tesla also described that by tapping into this core he would experience intense flashes of light, which were followed by moments of intense creativity and clarity.

Tesla was able to imagine and see an invention in his mind during this "moment of clarity" almost in holographic detail. Tesla claimed that he could even rotate these visions taking them apart piece by piece, and he knew exactly how he was going to build his inventions based on his visionary experiences. Could this be a hint that Tesla's intelligence was harnessed from the core of our Universe? If true, is it possible that we could also learn this Extraterrestrial Connection?
